David Sundwall
Meet David Sundwall, a member of our Board of Advisors, former U.S. Assistant Surgeon General, former Executive Director of the Utah Department of Health, former Utah State Health Commissioner.
A bit about David:
- Former administrator of the Health Resources and Services Administration within the United States Department of Health and Human Services starting under President Ronald Reagan.
- Former Assistant Surgeon General in the United States Public Health Service Commissioned Corps.
- Spent 17 years in Washington as an advisor for public health policy, starting with the Reagan administration.
- His nomination to serve as the Executive Director of the UDOH by Governor Jon Hunstman, Jr., was confirmed by the Utah State Senate on January 17, 2005.
- Advised on efforts to develop the current medical cannabis program, and he has been an enthusiastic supporter of developing a good medical cannabis policy.
- Emeritus Clinical Professor of Public Health at the University of Utah - School of Medicine
- Dr. Sundwall earned his medical degree at the University of Utah College of Medicine and completed further training at the Harvard Family Medicine Residency Program.

Amy Harrison PT
Amy has been practicing physical therapy
for over 25 years, and she learned about ETC early when we were developing the product, which she currently recommends to her patients. She was an initial skeptic, but she became convinced after seeing the results in her patients' lives, ultimately trying the product herself. She now serves on our advisory board focused on provider relations.
A bit about Amy:
- Owner of One to One Physical Therapy
- Practicing for over 25 years.
- Works primarily with chronic pain patients.
- Serves on advisory board with a focus on provider relations and as a liaison with other doctors and providers that want to discuss hemp.


Steve Ipsen
Meet Steve Ipsen, a member of our Board of Advisors and RN, MSN, Bureau Director of Utah Department of Health, and lead Medical Advisor for the Center of Medical Cannabis. (Recently Retired).
A bit about Steve:
- Instrumental and developing the continuing medical education for Utah’s Qualified Medical Providers (QMPs).
- Recruited and selected medical providers to be on the compassionate use bored for the Center of medical cannabis.
- Presented cases to the compassionate use board for review. Provided provider education throughout the state of Utah for the QMP’s and other interested medical providers.
- Used to manage multiple state clinics with over 100 employees before he became the first official state medical cannabis consultant through the Utah Department of Health.
Brad Daw
Meet Brad Daw, a member of our Board of Advisors at ETC and former Utah State Representative.
A bit about Brad:
- Passed the legislation that started the hemp industry in Utah.
- Started the ball rolling on health care reform in Utah by passing legislation pushing HSA's for state employees.
- Involved in legislation and initiatives to foster economic development, improve transportation, reform income tax,increase energy independence, and increase education funding.

Brett Hales
Meet Brett Hales, a member of our board of advisors and current mayor of Murray.
A bit about Brett:
- Mayor of Murray, Utah and prior City Councilman
- Former Vice President of Cypress Credit Union
- Open medical cannabis patient in Utah
- Shared his story treating multiple sclerosis with leaders from the Church of
Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, in a meeting of medical cannabis patients that helped secure support for a medical program in Utah.
